"I chose to speak truth. Even when it's uncomfortable. Even when it leaves people feeling uneasy. When you speak truth, people won't always walk away feeling good—and sometimes you won't feel so great about the reaction you receive. But at least all parties will walk away knowing it was an honest conversation."

RUBY BRIDGES ROCK TRAIL
Source: CNN
Join us in an inspiring community initiative as we create a vibrant Painted Rock Trail encircling the Fort Wayne Urban League. This trail, envisioned as a symbol of hope and courage, invites community members to contribute their creativity and spirit. Inspired by Ruby Bridges's words, "Don't follow the path. Go where there is no path and begin the trail," our project aims to foster a sense of pride, belonging, and unity within our community.
We are collecting painted rocks from April 1 - June 1. Once all rocks are collected, volunteers will create the rock trail.
Join us in shaping a rock trail of hope and courage. Rocks and paint supplies are available while supplies last. Companies, groups, and organizations that paint rocks will be recognized along the rock trail via signage.
The Ruby Bridges Rock Trail is LIVE! View the trail at the front of the Fort Wayne Urban League office (facing Hanna Street) until July 18!
