"…I chose to speak truth. Even when it's uncomfortable. Even when it leaves people feeling uneasy. When you speak truth, people won't always walk away feeling good—and sometimes you won't feel so great about the reaction you receive. But at least all parties will walk away knowing it was an honest conversation."
-Kamala Harris, The Truths We Hold
MOTHERS FOR THE MOVEMENT
Every Child Home Alive
Mothers for the Movement: Every Child Home Alive is an initiative focused on educating youth on proper protocols when interacting with police and fostering positive engagement between local police and the communities they serve.
We have partnered with the Fort Wayne Police Department to establish protocols for the youth to use as an educational tool when stopped by police during a traffic stop. The established protocols are STOP, SHOW, STAY™.

Join us throughout Black History Month as we provide an outlet for community members to express their thoughts and reflections around race and spark conversation about race in Fort Wayne and our surrounding communities.

BANNED BOOK CAMPAIGN
Books are powerful tools that open minds, foster understanding, and inspire change. Yet, in communities nationwide, the freedom to read is under threat. Our Banned Book campaign helps protect this essential right by ensuring that books, especially those representing diverse voices and experiences, remain accessible to all.
We will distribute FREE banned books at our inaugural Juneteenth Art Festival on Thursday, June 19, 2025.
