Our Work Ready Program is a free, 4-week summer experience created specifically for youth ages 15–18 who want to build a standout career toolkit and walk into any interview with total confidence. Gone are the boring lectures. Let’s focus on real-world skills, expert interview prep, and direct connections to local businesses—culminating in an exclusive job fair where you can land a job on the spot.

2026 WORK READY RECAP
This summer, 24 Fort Wayne teens walked into Work Ready with an application and walked out with a plan. Over four weeks, they traded uncertainty for interview skills, resumes, and LinkedIn profiles built from scratch, and stood face-to-face with real employers ready to invest in them. It was not just a program. It was a room full of young people learning, for the first time, what it feels like to be truly ready, and a community of mentors, partners, and employers who showed up to make sure they got there. Work Ready is proof that when Fort Wayne invests in its youth, the return is immediate, visible, and life changing.
